Maria Bersabe (Bertha) Quintana, 80 years old, went to be with the Lord on July 8, 2015 in Alamosa, Colorado. Cremation was selected and a Memorial mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church in Alamosa on Friday July 17 at 1100 a.m. Inurnment will follow the services in the Alamosa cemetery. A vigil service with Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday July 16, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Church in Alamosa. Bertha enjoyed playing bingo with staff at the Evergreen Nursing Home. She especially enjoyed visits from family and friends. She loved to listen to Spanish music as did so into her final moments of life. She will be greatly missed by all. She is survived by her son Juan (Carmen) Loyas, grandsons: Noah Loyas, Andrew Gallegos and Joey Acosta. Sisters: Julia Rivera, Ophelia Maestes, Sarita Quintana, Dorothy Sanchez, Delores (Oscar) Orozco, Maryann Medina, Margie Molina and Leona (John) Herrera. Bertha was proceded in death by her husband Tirso Acosta. Sons: Joseph Gallegos, Carlos Acosta and daughter Debbie Moreno and Grandson Jody Gallegos. Parents: Juan DeDios Quintana and Rosavel Quintana and siblings: Ernest Medina, Trinidad Quintana, Maria (Consolacion) Rodriquez and Amelia Rivera.
