Obituary for Corinne Elizabeth Pleasant

Corinne E. Pleasant, 80 Corinne Elizabeth Pleasant, longtime resident of Monte Vista, Colorado died June 19, 2015 in Alamosa, Colorado. She was born September 25, 1934 to Earl D. Heenan and Hazel H. (Jobson) Heenan in Mountain Home, Arkansas. She married Wylo R. Pleasant in Mountain Home and shortly thereafter they moved to Monte Vista, and started the family business, Pleasant Western Lumber. Corinne enjoyed cooking, shopping, traveling and watching the Broncos. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Monte Vista. She is survived by her children: Janet (Steve) Meyer of Monte Vista, Ron (Connie) Pleasant of Monte Vista, Bruce (Kim) Pleasant of Mill Creek, WA, and Roger (Merita) Pleasant of Peoria, AZ; her step-daughter Elaine Quick and son-in-law D.A. Dahlke both of Mountain Home. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and five brothers: Jimmy (Mary Anne) Heenan of Mountain Home, John (Bonnie) Heenan of Gassville, AR, Jerry (Sharon) Heenan of Kansas City, MO., Joe Heenan of Andover, KS and Jerome (Laura) Heenan of Broken Arrow, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step-daughter Anna Jean Dahlke and a brother. Services were held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Church of Christ in Monte Vista with Dr. Curtis Crawford officiating. Burial was at the Monte Vista Cemetery. Contributions are suggested in her memory to Hospice in care of Rogers Family Mortuary, 404 Morris St., in Monte Vista, CO 81144.
