Obituary for Kimberly Denise Jantzen

Alamosa resident Kimberly “Kim” Denise Jantzen, 49, passed away at her home in Alamosa under hospice care on February 8, 2016.

Kim was born in Merced, California the daughter of Curtis and JoAnn Burns Jantzen, on May 10, 1966. She worked for the past 10 years at the Alamosa Holiday Inn Express in Housekeeping. She thoroughly enjoyed her job and working with her extended work family.

Kim was an Oakland Raiders fan and enjoyed watching them on television. Her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She had a green thumb and had a knack for growing plants.

She is survived by her children Kristen (Amos) Valdez, Timothy Hatchett and Nicholas Bueno, all of Alamosa; her brother Tracy (Karen) Jantzen of Chico, California; as well as her grandchildren Christopher, Analeah and Janessa.

Kim is preceded in death by her parents.

A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the Alamosa Cemetery.
