Eugene  Arellano
Eugene Arellano 55 years old passed away peacefully surrounded with love from his family at the Rio Grande Nursing Home in La Jara. The nurses and aides are amazing by giving him so much love. Hospice nurses are to be commended. They are so loving and kind. Thank you.

He loved planting flowers using his landscaping abilities. Ask Jamie and Mimi Merrell. He was a manager at Windy City Pizza in Denver, Colorado from 1970 to 1973. He was also a Chef at the Fort Carson Military Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He built all the beds at the La Puente Shelter and he always had a smile. Eugene served in the United States Army.

Eugene is survived by his only daughter Anika, his hita. One son Michael, one grandson Michael Jr., his mother Eloisa Manzanares, brothers Tony Quintana Jr. and Danny (Josephine) Arellano, his uncle Ben Vigil, Eloy (LeEtta) Vigil, Lee (Kelli) Vigil, Ubaldo and Floyd Arellano, aunt Emily Gomez, Della (Gil) Lucero, Tina Cordova, Magdalena and Cleo, his niece Danielle Arellano, step-nieces Valerie, Felicia and Mattie, step-nephews Jimbo and Chubs and many loving cousins and friends, as well as best friends Lupe Cervantes, Gene Martinez, Joey Archuleta. Thank you for coming to see Eugene at Rose Medical in Denver, Colorado.

Eugene is preceded in death by his father Manuel Arellano Jr., his sister Marijean, and his grandparents Manuel and Cora Arellano Elizardo and Eva Vigil as well as his step-father Jose Vivian Manzanares.

Special thanks to Lance Cheslock, John Proeper, Lawrence Parker, Tona and Rich for all the love and kindness you showed Eugene. Thank you for all the flowers, cards, money, food and especially the visits at the Nursing Home, and to Tio Ben for many hours of sitting with Eugene.

Cremation was selected and graveside services will be officiated by Uncle Gil Lucero at the La Jara Cemetery on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
