Obituary for Esequiel Lucero

Help us to celebrate the life of Esequiel Lucero who made the journey to be with his savior on Sunday, October 16, 2016. He was 99 years young. Esequiel was a World War II Vet, he enjoyed fly fishing, gardening, wood-working and spending time with his family. He loved to tell stories and jokes to friends and family.

Esequiel is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Lucero, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathie (Rigoberto) Lucero- Salgado, Albuquerque, New Mexico, his grandson, Mikel Jefrey Salgado-Lucero, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Levinia Lucero, his son, Richard Joseph, his sisters, Cecilia, Louisa, and Ramona, and his parents, Leofredo Lucero and Irene Jaramillo.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 20th from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the First United Presbyterian Church in Antonito, Colorado. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 21st, also at the United Presbyterian Church in Antonito. Graveside services will follow at the San Rafael Cemetery in Mogote, Colorado.
