Obituary for Phillip Gene Plotner Sr.

Former valley resident Phillip Gene Plotner, Sr., 72, passed away on December 5, 2016 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

He was born on March 12, 1944 in Los Angeles, California to Raymond and Juanita Baker Plotner. Phillip honorably served his country in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1965. He married Jackie Sue Moore on April 19, 1968. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign War. Phillip loved to fish and hunt. He will always be remembered as a loving father and husband.

Phillip is survived by his children, Phillip Plotner, Jr., his daughter Cheryl (Phillip) Griffis, his grandson Kody (Tiffany) Griffis as well as numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and many friends in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jackie Plotner, his son Paul Plotner, grandson Kaleb Griffis and his brother Joe Plotner.

A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday December 10, 2016 at the Del Norte Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday December 9, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista.
