John Allen Hollmer, 55, of Crestone, passed away at home on February 6th, 2017.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on February 11th, 2017 at the Baptist Church in Crestone, Colorado.

John was born in Del Norte, Colorado to Patricia Hollmer Stoops and James Hollmer on January 5th, 1962. He went to school in Cañon City. He married Kim Myers on August 23, 1997 in Crestone. He worked as a welder and an artist around the country for many years and eventually went into business for himself. John lived for the outdoors. Any kind of hunting or fishing, anywhere. John wore the full beard and camo look all his life, and made it look good long before Duck Dynasty.

He is preceded in death by grandparents Mary Hollmer, Harry Hollmer, Jesse Brandt, Edna Brandt Mcbeth, and brother Michael Hollmer, Uncle Steven Brandt, Aunt Pat Brandt and niece Cassie Mann.

John is survived by parents Patricia Hollmer Stoops and James Hollmer, sisters Deborah Meekins and Terri (Cloyce) Mann, Son LeVon (Holly) Burch, Daughter Haley Hollmer, granddaughter Vera. Aunt Carole and Uncle Thomas Hollmer. Nephews Zach, Nicholas and Matthew, and Nieces Candice and Emily. And many other aunts and uncles, great friends and hunting and fishing buddies.
