Obituary for Scott Foster Erickson

Scott Foster Erickson
Well known Alamosa resident Scott Foster Erickson, 57, passed away October 7, 2017 in Creede, Colorado. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Amanda Erickson, Casey Abeyta, grandchildren, Aiden and Jaya Abeyta, brother, Mike Erickson and family (Kari, Tim, Lindsey), his loving companion, Mary Wunderlich and other extended family, along with many close friends. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Erickson, and his parents, Dr. Burt Read Erickson and Jean Patricia Erickson. Scott was loved by many for his generous and kind nature.

Scott always loved to be outdoors and not only enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating in Colorado, but also traveled to many parts of the world and shared adventures with many friends and family. During the last six years of his life, he also got to be a big part of his grandchildren’s lives and loved them dearly, always showing pictures and telling of his fun times, especially with Aiden. Just recently, he was able to spend time with his new granddaughter, Jaya.

SLV Builders was a big accomplishment for Scott. He was constantly meeting new customers and friends all over Colorado and New Mexico. He followed in his dad’s footsteps by being a true servant to the community, caring for others, and using his skills and talents to improve lives and making the community a much richer place to live.
