Gertrude was a very devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She was very proud of all her children. She was a little firecracker or as some people would call her, "an ornery little rascal". Gertrude was an extraordinary cook, who loved cooking for her honey and her family. Due to her disease she was nonverbal and at the young age of 81 she became an avid facebooker! She is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Albert Cordova. Her children, Joanne (Michael) Hales, Ogden, UT, Rose Marie (Ron) Vanderpool, Monte Vista, CO, Joey (Danita) Sanchez, Colorado Springs, CO, Dolores (Paul) Atencio, Del Norte, CO, Raquel (Wally) Gonzales, Monte Vista, CO, 17 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, Antonio Valdez, Mother, Esmiria Salazar, Daughter, Anita, Her sister Genevieve Duran, brothers Richard Valdez, Albert Valdez, Eugene Valdez, Toribio Valdez, Robert Valdez, and also preceded in death by her dear Aunt Eva of Ortiz, CO.
