Sally Mortensen (Mickelsen)
Sally Marie Mortensen, age 91, died Monday, October 23, 2017 at her Sanford, CO home where she had lived for 57 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde (Jiggs) Mortensen and her parents Heber and Hazel Ganus . Daughter in law - Sue Mortensen of Spanish Fork, UT.

Sally married Clyde Mortensen on September 20th, 1946 in a civil ceremony in Sanford, and three days later on September 23, 1946, was sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple of the LDS church.

They spent most all of their time together, working, playing, watching ball games and enjoying rides with friends.

Sally loved gardening and tending her beautiful yard. She enjoyed quilting and
crocheting, reading and watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. ln later years with declining health, she enjoyed sitting on her front porch looking out over the valley at Mt. Blanca.

Sally's passion was her family. She loved them all and would do anything for them.
She enjoyed their successes and prayed for them always.

For 91 years, she was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, serving in multiple callings. She loved her Savior Jesus Christ and strived daily to be an example of His teachings.

ln lieu of flowers donations can be made to the LDS church earmarked for Humanitarian Aid for natural disaster victims and victims of violence.

A Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday October 30, 2017 at the Sanford 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
