Obituary for Ann Sharon Johnson (Thomas)

Antonito resident Ann Sharon Johnson, 74, passed away on October 24, 2017. She was born on January 22, 1943 in Huntington, West Virginia to Karl and Betty Jo Thomas. She married Sigfred Allen Johnson in 1984.

During her working years, she worked as a 911 operator, a police dispatcher, a substitute teacher and a home healthcare provider. She spent much of her retirement with her youngest grandson. Ann truly enjoyed reading and was a frequent patron at the Antonito Library.

She is survived by her children, William “Bill” Schichner of Lodi, California, Diane Schuch of Aurora, Colorado and James "Whiteboy" Copsy of Antonito, Colorado, her brother, Richard Thomas of Douglas, Arizona as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Sigfred Johnson and her son Robert
