Ernestina Maria Mondragon (Maestas)
La Jara resident Maria Ernestina “Tina” Mondragon, 80, passed away December 28, 2017 at her home in La Jara.

Tina was born in Capulin, Colorado on May 8, 1937, the loving daughter of Jose Esmael Maestas and Doloritas Romero Maestas. She married her husband of 59 years, Ambrosio M. Mondragon, Jr. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Capulin, Colorado on October 20, 1958.

Tina is preceded in death through generations by her parents, her brothers and sister (Eddie Maestas, Samuel Maestas, Sarah Valdez and Gilbert Maestas), her grandchildren (Holly Mondragon and Ryan Mondragon), and her great-grandson (Jeremiah Sanders) as well.

Tina Mondragon’s memory also lives through Mark Mondragon and his partner James Costa. Her memory is eternalized by all. She lives on through the love, the laughter, and the endless teasing that will continue to bring smiles to anybody’s face.
