Mesita resident Carol Jean Conley, 74, passed away February 7, 2018 at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Alamosa.

Carol was born in Denver, Colorado the daughter to Elwood Harry Weiss and Bessie Hazel Beal on July 1, 1943.

Carol was a Registered Nurse and worked for Presbyterian Hospital in Denver for 28 years. She moved with her son to Mesita, Colorado following her retirement. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed watching Jeopardy and Hollywood Squares on television. She also loved her cats dearly.

Carol is survived by her son Jonathan Weiss of Mesita, CO; her brothers Chuck Weiss and Tommy Weiss, both of Center, CO; her grandchildren Chelsea Marie Weiss, Kyle Grant Kirkpatrick, Felicia Jorene Weiss and Sarah Elizabeth Weiss; as well as numerous nieces and nephews including Christopher, Monica and Kenneth.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers James Elwood Weiss and Jerry Petitt, Dicky and a young brother.

A Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018 in the Mesita Cemetery.
