The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Louise Sowards can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Growing Up

To the Family of MY friend, Louise Bolger Sowards:

I am so sadden by the sudden loss of my Friend Louise....We were "Best Friends" in Jr. High. She was a teacher, even back then. She taught me how to, NOT be afraid of horses, how to Barrel Race, and still stay on the horse. I even learned how to shift gears on "Henny's" old green farm truck, thanks to Louise.  OH, I almost forgot, we learned together how to chase BOYS!

We finished school, got married, had children.  She was into ranching and I moved to Canada!

We both went into nursing, in two different countries. We would find each other, about every 10 years and tell stories, laugh, and continue on with life. We both retired on the same year.

Louise, I will always carry you in my HEART!        Patty Maddux Hirsch  Creston, British Columbia
