Alamosa resident Mitchell Ray Powell, 60, passed away on April 20, 2018. He was born on January 18, 1958 in Del Norte, Colorado to Raymond Powell and Wynonne Hight. Mitchell enjoyed fishing and hunting. During his life, he worked for Pepsi, Pleasant Lumber and the Valley Courier.

Mitchell is survived by his daughter Angela (Ken) Ulibarri and three grandchildren, Kenny, Lucas, and Leia. His father Ray (Vangie) Powell, his brother Mike (Donette) Powell, his sister Marsha Powell, his sister Jaymie (Steve) Goodall. His neice Gina, and nephews; Justin and Quentin. His Uncle Ronald William (Carol) Powell and his cousins, Kirk Powell, Billy Powell and Brad Powell.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his son Mitchell Powell and his cousin Ronnie Powell.

Cremation was selected and a memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday May 3, 2018 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Alamosa.
