Florence Archuleta
Lifetime Alamosa resident Filomena Florence (Mena) Archuleta, 93, earned her angel wings on April 26, 2018. Florence was born in Del Norte, Colorado on January 26, 1925.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her loving family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa for many years.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Salamon and Josefa Valdez. He loving husband, Vicente Archuleta. Her brothers, Joe and Abe. Her loving sons; Ernest (Gene) Archuleta, Larry Paul Archuleta. Her loving grandson, Brad Whitecotten. And son in laws Anthony Garcia and Randy Lopez.

She is survived by her sister Rita Goff, and brother Sam (Joan) Valdez. Her sons; Elmer (Shirley) Armando, and Solomon (Edith) Mike. Her daughters; Helen (Louie), Diana (Ed), Sandra (Matt), Mary Atencio (Larry Martinez), and Janet (Norman). As well as her fur babies; Frank, Patches, and Daisy whom she adored so very much.

Florence was a loving grandmother of 23 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter.

A Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 7:00 P.M. at The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Alamosa Colorado. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. also at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow services in the Alamosa Cemetery.
