Obituary for Erika Mackey

Erika Mackey
Longtime Monte Vista resident Erika Mackey, 86, passed away on November 9, 2016. She was born on April 1, 1930 in Steyr, Austria to Johann and Theresia Trauner Steffe. She married Clayton W. Mackey, Jr. on September 28, 1949 in Steyr, Austria. She enjoyed dancing, music and loved her dogs.

She is survived by her children, Clayton W. (Janice) Mackey III, Erik Leon (Doris) Mackey of, Sandra Bukovsky and Anne Renee (Frank) Henningson all of Monte Vista. Four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as her extended family Kelly and Scott Veneman and boys and Tom Rowe.

Erika was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Cremation was selected and a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday November 17th, 2016 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Monte Vista. Contributions are suggested to the Rio Grande Hospital and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
