Obituary for Carol Ann Mountfort (Geist)
Longtime valley resident Carol Ann Mountfort, 76, passed away on December 31, 2016 in Alamosa under Hospice care. She was born on July 10, 1940 in Farmington, New Mexico to Fred and Norma Fay Schofield Geist. She and her sister Donna grew up in Monte Vista, Colorado. She enjoyed reading, traveling and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Carol is survived by her children; Larry (Kristine) Mountfort from Dayton, Ohio and Faye Mountfort Hayne of Colorado Springs as well as her sister Donna Marie Hansen. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joy Mountfort of Denver, Samantha Hayne and Dustin Hayne of Colorado Springs.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday January 5, 2017 at the Rogers Family Mortuary in Monte Vista. Cremation will follow the services. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the charity of your choice and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
