Sanford resident Guy McArthur, 79, passed away August 21, 2016 in Alamosa, Colorado. Guy was the son of Mildred and Clifford McArthur. He is survived by his sister Estelle Jack.

Guy graduated from Sanford High School, and was then drafted into the Army at Fort Lewis Washington. He served in the motor pool where he did what he loved best mechanics. Guy came home from the Army after 2 years of service to help his family on the farm in Sanford. He worked for many years at the Sanford School in the bus barn. He returned to the family farm where he worked the remainder of his life. Guy was a friend to all and always liked to joke around.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred and Clifford McArthur, his niece Cindy (Jack) Stock and his brother-in-law Don Jack.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sanford Cemetery.
